n 2023, we launched a very special creation at Nero’s Bar: Augusto Blended Scotch Whisky. This unique blend was crafted in honor of my grandfather, Augusto, who lived an extraordinary life spanning 104 years on the beautiful island of Fogo, Cabo Verde. His life and legacy inspired every drop of this exceptional whisky.
Augusto’s story is one of resilience, wisdom, and a deep connection to his homeland. Living all his years on the island of Fogo, he witnessed countless changes and remained a steadfast figure in our family’s history. His longevity and spirit were nothing short of remarkable, and I wanted to create something that would celebrate his life and the lessons he imparted.
The creation of Augusto Blended Scotch Whisky was a journey fueled by love and respect. The whisky is meticulously stored for 104 days, symbolizing each year of my grandfather’s life.
